Weaving (WF 84)

Weirdo Shrine Just a kind warning, Thought Bubble’s music can have this effect on your brain. It is psycho-electric (mostly) instrumental music like this that can trip you out even more profoundly than most analogue stuff. It is an audio sonic experience that makes the mind wander, and end up in the strangest of places. Favorite track: Plasma Playpen.

davehairy They've done it again!!
Stunning crisp percussion as always, with percussive styles seeming to be drawn from all over the world.
Synths that can melt your brain, and synths that can ease your mind.
A few guests again and some nice words to provoke thoughts.
Thought Bubble just keep delivering, and its getting better rather than sticking in the same place. Excellent stuff! Favorite track: Pondlife.

egg-magoo Thought Bubble return for another spacey voyage into the electronic and organic. Genres meld together - Eastern vibes, ambient chillage, funky shuffles, jazzy explorations, electronica and more-into a satisfying mind firtle of sounds, melody and rhythms. This is the sort of thing that wows festival fields as much as it pours from your headphones into your ears to tantalise your brain. Another winning odyssey from the Bubble folk!

about

“…If this is your introduction to the world of Thought Bubble then I envy you. You have the journey of a lifetime ahead of you.
...How this all works together I don’t understand but it just does.
Static Sounds Club

"...every time I put on Weaving I feel myself slipping into a blissful trance blackout …and wake up inside a gigantic lava lamp. I can feel the rubbery bubbles pushing past my body as I hold by breath and try to swim upwards... It is an audio sonic experience that makes the mind wander, and end up in the strangest of places."
Weirdo Shrine

"Musically painting with strong hints of post-Future Days Can (“Sounds Affect”) and Amon Düül II (“200 Teeth”) as well as labelmates The Hologram People (“Pondlife”) and post-jazz jammers Omega Institute (“Adjust Your Soul”), the selection gratifyingly spans a lot of ground covered across the Woodford Halse label family whilst impressively showcasing a standalone enterprise."
Concrete Islands

Thought Bubble are essentially a duo. However, we do bring in a little outside help, from time to time.

Some of these tracks were recorded during a very testing two year period, where, despite living in fairly close proximity to each other in the Shropshire hills, we were separated by that original Covid-19 wave. And then, when one of us was diagnosed with something more serious, we had to resort to being isolated for even longer.

So, this is another of those albums created mainly via remote recording, from our own home studios. However, this is when some of the darker and more eccentric weaving patterns on these tracks presented themselves. Anyway, that’s more than enough explanation. The listener and their imagination should perhaps interpret these tracks beyond the starting point we have provided here.
